Milwaukee JobCamp, a free all-day job hunting event, is this Thursday

Thursday, October 7th, 2010 is the fourth Milwaukee JobCamp. This free day-long event takes over a huge amount of space at the Potawotami Casino conference. There will be sessions on a huge variety of topics related to the job hunt, as well as a resume help desk room and, of course, lots and lots of networking with others.

I hope to see you there. I’ll be talking about how the hiring manager sees the hiring process, and how to use that to your advantage in the interview.

    Hi Andy,

I’m coordinating the next event that will be JobCamp-esque!
We’ll shift the audience focus slightly and remove a few sessions that seemed to generate a bit of chaos, so the title will not be Milwaukee JobCamp5. We will cap attendance at 700.

We’re working with 40+, Kaiser, and all the agencies from the Milwaukee Transitional Jobs Collaborative. Agencies involved include MAWIB, Manpower & Right Management, WTCCommunity Advocates, Barclay, Goodwill, SDC, WI Job Center, and of course the Archdiocese of Milwaukee (where I work). Like Job Camp, this is an all volunteer event, and attendees will not be charged a fee to attend.

    Date: Wednesday, August 22, 2012
Location: Cousins Center, 3501 South Lake Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53235

Would you be available/interested in presenting a talk?
    Suggested topic:
How the hiring manager sees the hiring process, and how to use that to the job seeker’s advantage in the interview.

    Look forward to your reply!
